Method

How the maths works

No black boxes. The rules are simple, written down, and the same on every page.

Packing by blocks

Cartons stay upright and rotate on the deck. We try both plain patterns and every two-block split, then stack whole layers. For containers, all six orientations.

The higher weight wins

Courier, air and LCL freight all bill the larger of actual weight and a volume-based weight. We show the comparison, not just the answer.

Typical, and labelled so

Container and pallet sizes vary by line and maker. We use typical figures, say so on every page, and leave the dimensions editable.
